ST-100 Batch Dryer w/Loading Conveyor
The Robust ST-100 Dryer
The ST-100 Dryer is engineered to unbind and condition or completely dry up to 275 pounds of linen per load, using less energy. The ST-100 Dryer works seamlessly with Girbau Industrial's TBS-50 Batch Washer, SPR-50 Water Extraction Press and shuttle conveyor, or as a stand-alone dryer. Its robust heating system effectively circulates air through the load while efficiently removing moisture from inside the cylinder for a quicker dry. Available in gas, steam or thermal fluid heat, or no heat tumble only, the ST-100 is designed with the Spirotilt-Girbau™ system—optimizing drying and simplifying automated unloading.

Spirotilt-Girbau—Delivering a Fast Dry & Seamless Unloading
A patented and exclusive feature, Spirotilt-Girbau combines a slight cylinder incline of 2.5 degrees with angled interior cylinder baffles to ensure the best combination of drying results and quick unloading.
Drying Phase
During the drying process, the cylinder rotates on an incline in a clockwise direction. Baffles inside the cylinder evenly distribute the load from the back of the cylinder toward the front and back again as the cylinder turns. This movement keeps laundry balanced throughout the cylinder, optimizes airflow within the load and eliminates laundry clumping.Unloading Phase
Spirotilt-Girbau facilitates unloading as well. During the unloading process, the dryer cylinder reverses direction. The incline of the cylinder works with the interior baffles to move the load out of the cylinder, where it is unloaded into a laundry cart or conveyor. To facilitate faster unloading, the dryer rotation of the cylinder during unloading can be programmed to reverse multiple times until the complete load has exited the cylinder.Discover the Difference
Some dryers feature a drum that stays in the horizontal position during the drying process. The horizontal cylinder design eliminates laundry roping but causes difficulty during the unloading process. Airflow of the dryer fan must be used to unload the laundry—releasing lint into the laundry area and causing unnecessary heat loss of the dryer. Another option for horizontal cylinder design dryer is to utilize a tilt system for unloading. Tilt systems utilize compressed air connections that require additional maintenance.
Proven Durability
The ST-100 is designed for quiet, effective operation and unmatched longevity. All dryer components that come into contact with laundry are constructed of AISI 304 stainless steel, while the outer cabinet features steel sides finished in durable epoxy paint. The robust cylinder, supported by a set of guide wheels, not only delivers silent operation, it ensures years of no-hassle use. The ST-100 is backed by a limited two-year manufacturer’s warranty.
Highly Programmable from the ST-100 Control
With 16 drying programs offering eight programmable phases, the ST-100 delivers the ultimate in programmability to meet the specific needs of any linen type. Each phase can be programmed to control time, temperature, rotation, speed, and all unloading variables.
Programmability from the Central Control
The ST-100 Dryer can also be linked to a batch (tunnel) washer and controlled via the Central Control. Every facet of the ST-100 can be programmed from the Central Control, which controls the operations of every component on the continuous washing system (batch washers, presses, dryers and conveyors). Offering detailed control over the drying and unloading process, the Central Control is easy to use and offers a clear graphic display showing real-time data.
ST-100 Features
Automatic Cool-down and Temperature Control
During cool-down, a thermostat controls the opening and closing movements of a large damper that introduces cool air into the cylinder to cool linen. (standard on gas units; optional on steam or thermal fluid units)Thermostatic Sprinkler
An automatic fire protection system prevents the spread of flames in the event very high temperatures are detected in the dryer cylinder. A thermostatic self-contained safety sprinkler operates when temperatures surpass 500 degrees Fahrenheit, spraying water inside the cylinder. Two safety thermostats stop the dryer and disconnect its electrical feed BEFORE the sprinkler system engages. (standard on gas units; optional on steam or thermal fluid units)Automatic Lint Filter Cleaning
The ST-100's automatic filter cleaning system ensures the filter is cleaned for optimum dryer performance. When the system detects a soiled filter during the unloading process, it automatically activates the filter cleaning process and removes the lint without interrupting the drying process.Teflon-coated Interior Cylinder (optional)
The cylinder is coated with Teflon® to prevent any plastics – inadvertently mixed in with the load – from adhering to the cylinder as a result of high temperatures.Pedestals to Adjust Dryer Height
Five differently sized pedestals can be used to adjust the height of the dryer according to the needs of the facility. The tallest pedestal height provides the best conditions for unloading. The Highest Safety Standards
The ST-100 is very safe to operate and complies with the most rigorous safety guidelines across the globe, including CE Certification and compliance with the Machine Safety Directive, Electromagnetic Compatibility Directive and the Gas Devices Directive.-
Infrared Heat Sensor
The infrared heat sensor produces real-time detection of load temperature. This feature optimizes drying time, raises dryer productivity and reduces energy spent on drying.
Loading Conveyors
Girbau Industrial loading and unloading conveyers – available in inclined or horizontal configurations – automatically load laundry batches, by weight, into a continuous batch washer or open-pocket dryer.
ICP-4 Inclined Conveyor
The ICP-4 is an automatic weighing inclined conveyor with four compartments each holding 110 pounds loads. The automatic conveyor is simple to operate and used for loading a batch washer using a two-step process.
- The operator places soiled loads into the conveyor's first compartment until the digital weight display on the control or the color-coded light panel indicate a full load has been achieved.
- The operator inputs the washing program and customer number on the Central Control. The conveyor automatically moves the load toward the batch washer and stops at the next open compartment for loading. Loads advance when ready in a continuous process.
