The DRM Compact High Production Feeder
The DRM feeder, designed to save space without sacrificing production, is considerably smaller than other feeders on the market. This makes the DRM a sensible choice for operations with limited space and a need for high-volume finishing. The DRM quickly dresses, flattens and feeds wet items – napkins, tablecloths, sheets and pillowcases – directly from the washer into a corresponding ironer. The result is significantly improved productivity and quality over hand feeding.
FEATURE SUMMARY
- Productivity: up to 5,600 items per hour
- Feeding Stations: one to five
- Number of Lanes: one to four
- Linen Size Compatibility: large, medium and small items
- Warranty: 2-year manufacturer's warranty
Productivity
The DRM is designed to accommodate one to four lanes and up to five operators simultaneously. Using a single lane, up to 1,400 laundry items per hour can be fed directly from the feeder to the ironer. Four lanes can feed up to 5,600 items per hour. An inverter allows operators to adapt feeding speed to match the type of laundry items being fed through the DRM. This maximizes productivity and delivers needed flexibility.
The feeder works by holding an item's leading edge on a suction table which pulls wrinkles from the fabric. Items are automatically flattened as they move through the feeder into the ironer – a seamless process that significantly enhances laundry productivity over feeding items manually into an ironer. As goods move onto the feeder belts a vacuum box sucks in the trailing edge of the item. This ensures proper “dressing” of the linen and allows the operator to prepare the next item to be loaded, improving productivity.
Quality
An automatic self-centering system on the DRM works to ensure items are straight as they move through the feeder. A wheel system arranged on each of the four lanes supports laundry items as they are straightened and fed. At the exit of the suction aperture, curved plates, which are arranged into four lanes, work to evenly spread and deliver goods to the ironer feed belts.
Flexibility and Ergonomics
The DRM feeds a variety of sizes and fabrics, including napkins, tablecloths, sheets and pillowcases. The feeding conveyor offers ample space for feeding including space under the conveyor for a laundry cart–making feeding more ergonomic and efficient. The discharge conveyor is adjustable to accomodate any height ironer.
Control & Maintenance
The DRM's control is easy to understand and use. It allows for adjustable feeding speeds to maximize productivity by item type. Designed to require less maintenance, the DRM is among the most trouble free feeders available. To facilitate maintenance and keep the laundry environment clean, the suction aperture and lint—retaining filters work together to extract and collect lint from goods before they are ironed.
Durable & Reliable
The DRM is backed by a two-year limited manufacturer's warranty and operates in full compliance with CE guidelines.
DRM Options
- Vaccuum Table: To improve feeding and ease-of-use, suction can be added to the feeder table. The suction holds the articles in place—preventing them from moving.
- Pressing Roller: When used for large-sized items, a pressing roller can be added to the feeder to hold items firmly in place. This prevents longer items from being pulled back into the suction drawer.
- Article Support Tray: This tray can be concealed and works to simplify small-item insertion.
- Movement Rails: Simplifies access the machine for cleaning and maintenance on the feeder and the ironer.
- Cart Stopper: This steel rail prevents damage from laundry carts.
- Suction Collector with Side Output & Collecting Bag: The suction system is fitted with a collector that draws the air output toward the sides of the feeder, making access for cleaning and maintenance simpler.
- Multiple Wheel Assembly: This assembly of free wheels holds laundry items in place while they are fed. It is especially useful when the vacuum table option is not used.
