Productivity

The DRF, designed to accommodate two to four operators and one or two lanes simultaneously, improves laundry productivity by dressing wet linens – straight from the washer. The feeder works by firmly securing an item's leading edge using sturdy transferring clamps that can handle even the heaviest items, including duvet covers and king-sized sheets. A powerful vacuum pulls wrinkles from the fabric as items move through the feeder into the ironer – a seamless process that significantly enhances laundry productivity. Moreover, the speed of the feeding conveyor is adjustable – to work with ironing speeds of 16 to 164 feet per minute and to accommodate a variety of linen types and productivity goals.

Unmatched Feeding Quality

The DRF is engineered with a transferring vacuum bar, a suction feeding conveyor, suction drawer, and spreading brushes to provide unmatched feeding quality. Unlike many competitor feeders, the transferring vacuum bar on the DRF holds items along its entire length, which provides a higher quality of feeding. The transferring vacuum bar, which is fitted with a suction system for the full width of the machine, ensures precise positioning of laundry items for feeding into the ironer and folding systems.

A vacuum table on the DRF holds items in place while they move toward the ironer. The table's belts are constructed of extremely long-wearing silicone, which provide added adhesion beyond the power of the suction table. The vacuum table is adjustable to fit any height ironer—ensuring trouble-free transition between machines.

A robust suction drawer is located at the bottom of the feeding belt. The suction drawer works in concert with curved spreading plates and brushes to spread items evenly—ensuring superior feeding quality. The DRF's suction system is extremely quiet and complies with all legal requirements and regulations related to safety and ergonomics.

Safety and Ergonomics

Not only is the DRF easy to install, it offers safety features abound. Designed to operate without the need for a pit, the DRF features a pressure-sensitive floor mat to keep operators out of the unsafe feeding areas of the machine. During large piece feeding, any pressure to the mat will be recognized as a safety hazard and trigger immediate shut-down of the machine. During manual small piece feeding the mat disengages and becomes an ergonomic mat to ease operator fatigue.

To facilitate ergonomics, the feeding stations on the DRF are adjustable to accommodate operator comfort level. Three adjustable heights can be selected by the operator.

When the DRF is used for feeding small items, it's automatic hinged top allows the large piece feeding stations to lift up and out of the way. Simultaneously, the feeding conveyor descends to a height that is accessible for operators. In doing so, the feeder can allow ergonomic manual feeding with up to four feeder lanes.

Graphic Control

A straightforward graphic control makes it simple to configure and program the DRF. The control's graphic menu is arranged according to function and allows users to properly and easily program the feeding of a large variety of laundry items.

Durable

The DRF – backed by a two-year limited manufacturer's warranty – operates in full compliance with CE guidelines.

DRF Options & Accessories

  1. Second Set of Transferring Clamps (Second Server): With a second set of transferring clamps fitted to the DRF, production increases significantly. The clamps move along the feeder, pick up laundry items, pull them taut and then pass them onto the vacuum bar. This option enables uninterrupted feeding and is recommended when a considerable amount of work is being completed on two lanes, or when feeding large-sized items at high speeds.
  2. Hinged Pit Panel: When operating in conjunction with a pit, the DRF is equipped with a hinged pit panel that covers the pit when feeding small-piece items manually. This safety feature gives operators easier access to the vacuum table. When feeding large piece items the hinged panel raises to ensure operators do not inadvertently step into the pit.
  3. Spreading Brushes & Belts: This option is highly recommended for improved feeding quality. Crease-guard belts are located on top of the output belt. Brushes are arranged on one or two lanes, depending on the feeder. Together the brushes and belts significantly improve spreading and feeding quality.
  4. Feeding Supporters: Used when feeding large or heavy items, such as duvet covers, feeding supporters aid in relieving the weight of an item on the vacuum bar to improve feeding quality. The supporters lift items with a patting movement, easing the weight of the article and smoothing creases for optimum feeding.
